Depends: Usually after a microdiscetomy with hemilaminotomy physical therapy is not initially recommended. The procedure is done to removed the disc that is impinging on the nerve causing pain. Once the pain is relieved then we see if you have any physical deficits like limited range of motion then physical therapy may be recommended.
