Complex question: Depending on the origin /character of the pain and other factors such as her risk of bleeding, and others, your question is best answered by seeing a physician face-to-face. Fore example, Ibuprofen could be suggested, but would not be a great idea if she was on drugs such as warfarin or if she has a blood clotting disorder, or she has an actively bleeding ulcer or recent surgery.

Abdominal pain: This is a good question but we need to have more information about the pain. It may be best to get her into see her doctor so he can make sure she is not masking something by taking pain medication. Does she have a gyn?
