UTI?: Blood in the urine is called hematuria and can indicate that there is an infection or problem in the urinary tract which includes the bladder, ureters and kidneys. It is important to see a doctor for a urine test and culture to see if there is an infection which can be easily treated with antibiotics. A UTI can also cause lower midline abdominal pain.
