UNUSUAL: Typically speaking when you have a root canal treatment done on a tooth you do not have pain .My be little discomfort here and there that disappears in a day or two.But if it comes back later say in a month or more you have to be checked for the source of pain in that tooth . It could be periodontitis , which is the inflammation of the tissue around it.Or a periapical infection . Get it checked.

Unusual: Depending on how long ago the root canal therapy was completed, if you had an infection, and how long ago the crown was placed, my advice would be different in each case. Generally, it may take the bone a while to heal after an infection, and a new crown can take a few days to feel just right. Since you are currently under the care of a dentist, have # 14 re-evaluated.

Not uncommon: Many teeth that have had endodontic therapy feel pretty much normal within 2 days - 2 months. Other may take longer or never feel quite right. There are many potential causes with these "stubborn" teeth. It could be related to deficiencies with the root canal treatment, bite related, the fit of the crown, etc. If it uncomfortable and not improving, seek the advice of an endodontist for help.
