Specializes in General Practice

Loose Joints: People with hypermobile joints might have joint hypermobility syndrome (jhs) with inherited laxity of ligament tissue. Ability to lock knees & put palms on floor can be sign of jhs. Osteopath should be able to diagnose. Mostly in females & can predispose to fibromyalgia. Solution is lean body mass & toned muscles. Yoga, swimming, & gentle weight training can stabilize joints & reduce laxity.
