Professional consult: Children with add, adhd, and/or LD can be very challenging. Since I do not know your son's age or grade, I do not know what the school's involvement is; has the teacher made suggestions?; have you observed the teacher during a class?; have you consulted with any school specialists?; have you observed the specialists?; if he has not had a complete educ/psychol. Evaluation, pl. Consider doing so.

Sorry to hear...: It must be hard for you to see him struggle. Keep being an advocate for him. School services are a must as they can provide a learning environemnt that will help him reach his abilities. Consider therapy/counseling to address potential emotional needs. Consider seeing a child psychiatrist to address other treatments for adhd including medicines that are very effective and can change his life.

Coordinated evaluati: Your chil should have a multidisciplinary evaluation in school to define the problems. An individual educational plan IEP, should define a treatment plan for the learning problems. Speak to your pediatrician about medication that can help manage the ADHD.
