Molecular mimicry: Why yes viral infections certainly do display molecular mimicry. Most commonly are the herpesvirus family (herpes simplex, varicella, cmv, ebv...16 in all). That is why these viruses remain latent within us and if the immune system is disrupted by acquired immunodeficiencies (age, chemotherapy, HIV or other viral infections) these viruses then reactivate.
