It depends: You should see an endocrinologist to discuss this further. The main question is whether your blood sugar actually gets low or whether you just feel like it is low. This needs to be tested first. There are a lot of possible causes of hypoglycemia, including kidney disease, liver disease, medication side effects, and others.

Family practice : Yes hypoglycemia means low blood sugar. However if you eat foods high in white sugar you over produce Insulin which will then once again rapidly lower your blood sugar. By eating frequent smaller meals your Insulin and blood sugar levels can stabilize. You should obtain an Insulin level to make sure that isn't the problem.
