Bowel change: This could be undigested food, a blood clot, or an ingested foreign body. Was there pain with the bowel movement? In any case, a visit with your physician would help sort this out.

Something you ate?: It sounds like you passed something that was not digested, possibly a pill or something swallowed whole. Watch your stool for any other abnormalities, especially blood or black tarry stool. If there is a family history of colon cancer, you need to let your doctor know.
