Varies: Premi's should meet a minimum criteria for going home: gaining weight every day on feeds. Able to keep a normal body temperature in a crib. Not have need for a hospital based treatment modality or close observation. My routine is not to send home under 4.5 lb. The local neonatologist does around 4-4.5 lb. I am unaware of what your government run system considers appropriate standards.
