Higher risk in HIV: Having a positive TB test indicates that you have been exposed to the TB bug. The infection could be latent or active, & this can be determined by further testing done by your doctor. Hiv infected people are at higher risk of acquiring TB infection because of their weakened immune system & testing for HIV is recommended in presence of other risk factors. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns.
