Diet: Gout is caused by the body's inability to process purine proteins. Changing to a diet low in purines will help. Staying well hydrated is also important. Anecdotally, drinking cherry juice has helped some people. The best course is to see a doctor and be properly evaluated to be sure you actually have gout.

None are proven: Many home remedies are reported to be "cures" for gout. However, none of them have been proven in any scientific fashion to be effective for gout. Most medications, including colchicine, were originally extracted and refined from plants. To get similar effects from most natural remedies you would have to take such a large amount as to suffer side effects from other compounds in the plant.

Gout cure: None that i know of. It takes medication to stop the attack and another to help prevent future ones. Diet is important as well.
