Gout is an episodic, painful arthritis triggered by Uric acid crystals forming in the joint. Episodes are treated with anti-inflammatories. Episodes are prevented by reducing high uric acid levels in the blood. This can be done with a combo of meds & diet. So it can be very successfully treated. Consider an appointment with a HealthTap doctor or your PCP to discuss more.
