High mcv: Abnormal blood tests must be investigated but this one is high normal. Mcv is the volume of the average cellular volume in billions of your tiny red blood cells. High MCV means plump and enlarged rbcs which don't carry oxygen well hence the label anemia. Folate, (folic acid) B12 deficiency, and alcohol can cause. Test might be repeated, if still high look further.
