Many steps: I can hardly imagine what it must be like for you. I hope that you are surrounded by supportive friends and family, who can help you recover. Occupational therapy, voc rehab and psychotherapy, may help you adapt appropriately to your new physical challenges and your psychological ones. If these approaches seem inadequate due to either the severity or duration of depression adding meds may help.

Loss: I'm so sorry this has happened to you. There can be all kinds of reactions to such an event; each is unique. It may be even harder for some than others, depending on pre-accident situation and post-accident support (or lack of same). I agree w/dr. Raina on treatments needed -- certainly also a psychotherapist to provide you safe space to process all this & move forward. Meds may help too.
