My father who is in his 80s has a small nick in his foot near his ankle and it is leaking for over 10 days. what is wrong?

Not sure...: Something is delaying his normal healing process. This is almost always a blood flow issue at his age. I would try applying a homeopathic healing ointment (cream) like traumeel - available online and at whole foods - first. Apply as often as needed and keep clean. If this does not help quickly, you better see a doctor for evaluation.
