A member asked:

Is there a difference what kind of bowel prep is done for a colonoscopy as long as the end result is the same?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some preps: Are more difficult or time consuming, which caues non-compliance, or result in more electrolyte abnormalities, such as low potassium. But you are right, once the prep is complete and the end result is satisfactory, then the choice of prep is not even relevant.
