Can clear by itself: Threadworms (pinworms) are only significant in the individual who develops an allergic/irritant response to the glue like material the eggs are laid in near the anus. The more intense the response, the more intense the itching & problematic for the patient. The infestation can shed naturally & not return unless ingestion of new eggs occurs. Otc treatments are available.
