Can you please tell me why depression affects concentration?

Both and more: Strong ability to direct/control concentration is a sign of excellent adjustment. The further away from that pinnacle in any of our biological systems, the weaker our concentration. So, it will be the case that bodily chemical imbalances/deficiencies or emotional/mental disturbances will show up in our ability to concentrate. Satisfactory concentration is a very good measure of well-being. Be well.
