Early signs : Onset of schizophrenia is usually in late adolescence to early adulthood. Sometimes the onset can be rapid or gradual. Early signs can be social isolation, deterioration in hygiene, paranoia, inapproriate laughter, making irrational or odd statements, appear emotionless or unmotivated, may abandon hobbies and activites and their performance at work or school deteriorates.
