A member asked:

Is having a weird gait a good sign of having schizophrenia?

No: Not at all. There are very specific signs and symptoms which must correlate with the criteria for schizophrenia, but gait is not one of them. Sometimes, a child will have motor developmental problems, such as clumbsiness and awkward, poor coordination in association with pervasive development disorders such as autism-which is at times confused with schizophrenia.
