A member asked:

How long can a uti have to go untreated before it started preterm labor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Undetermined: Uti's will not necessarily cause preterm labor although it is certainly a risk factor. Also it could cause contractions without tipping into actual labor, so it is really not possible to answer your question. It is certainly best to treat a UTI as soon as possible.
