Good question: I live near an airport and wear earplugs at night because I am sensitive to the noise. It helps to some degree. There are machines that produce white noise that may help or make your own (turn on a fan, listen to music). Make sure you are nice and relaxed before getting into bed. Take a bath, drink some sleepytime tea and try to take your focus away from the noise and count those sheep!
