I'm curious as to what harm can oral surgery due to a pregnancy if you were not aware of being pregnant?

Pregnant & Surgery: Any surgery can have untoward effects on a developing fetus. Some factors include radiographs taken (ct, panorex, digital or plain film, proper shielding), general anesthesia medications administered, and medications prescribed post-op. How many weeks at the time. First trimester is the most sensitive with development and the second trimester is usually the safest time -most likely baby ok.

Unclear really: No studies have been done in regards to this. We are always concerned about the affects of any intervention on a developing fetus. In general, the first trimester is the most sensitive time during a baby's development. If you had surgery (any type) during the first trimester, it is best to let your OB know, but there is not really much you can do about it, other than monitoring the pregnancy.
