Inflammation: Cervicitis simply means inflammation of the cervix. This could be from yeast or from an std (bacterial or viral). It would take cultures and/or a biopsy to know which.

Inflamed cervix: An inflammation or infection or irritation of the uterine cervix. Post coital irritation can cause bleeding; it may be caused by a venereal disease, or even a misplaced tampon.
