Bland diet & avoid: Acidic or acid causing foods. Don't smoke. Avoid caffeine, spicy foods & alcohol, fatty & fried foods. Small, frequent meals rather than gorging drink lots of water, dilutes acid. Try luke warm camomile or fennel tea. Aloe juice, not very pleasant, but natural & taken before meals. Teaspoon or 2 baking soda for rapid relief. Discuss with your dr, always worth considering meds.
