No: Pregnancy and childbirth will never be risk free. Today we can anticipate and manage a wide variety of diseases and conditions that were lethal just decades ago, but there are still some things we cannot fix. This coupled with a population that does;t go and see a physician during their pregnancy means that there will never be a risk free pregnancy.
