Beta Blockers can be: ...used to slow down the ventricular response to PSVT. It doesn't always work, but it's a reasonable first choice. Amiodarone is also very effective in slowing down both the atrial and ventricular heart rates, but it has some complications. In cases that don't respond to medication, a more invasive procedure may be used to interrupt (ablate) the signals that cause the PSVT. Best wishes!
