Disinhibition: Head injured patients particularly those who have injuries to the frontal lobe can suffer from a condition called disinhibition. In this condition they will lose their normal social reservations and they can become downright mean and nasty. Dishonest or more likely careless responses from these patients can occur but usually disappear as the brain heals.
