It is possible.: A traumatic blow to the head can cause brain injury depending on the severity of the blow. The most likely complication from a mild blow is a concussion. Loss of consciousness is not required to have a concussion. Avoid activities that put you at high risk for another head blow (sports) until the symptoms fully resolve. Repeated concussions over time can add up to cause more serious brain damage.
