Complications: If your procedure goes well, no complications, it is a simple procedure. However, this procedure carries risk for pneumothorax by its nature. Pneumothorax is a potentially life threatening complication of lung tap, easily treated with a chest tube: available at the hospital. Risk of this complication is low, but being done in hospital is smart and safe.
