Cooling mechanism: Sweating is a means for the body to cool itself down during/after exercising/intense physical activity by allowing evaporation which lowers the skin temperature & helps the body regulate its temperature. It is okay to dry yourself if you are dripping with sweat, but not doing so does not harm you in any way. There is still enough moisture on your skin for cooling to continue via evaporation.
