It can be thick : Just from building up too much secretory or proliferative endometrium, but it could be abnormal tissue, often times if the ultrasound was done right before your period and at your age your doc may want to repeat the us the first part of your cycle and if the lining measures less than 1.0cm that is normal, if it measures 1.3 then u need an in office hysteroscopy and bx to sample the tissue.
