A member asked:

On average, how long will a hernia operation take to recover from?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Not all hernias are the same. In general, outpatient operations for groin or belly button hernias take 1-2 weeks to recover if there are no complications. Complex hernia repairs can take several weeks to months for a full recovery. Hope this helps!
