Depends: The final say is your surgeon's. As a rule, i allow my laparoscopic hernia repair patients to begin full activity, including sports and weight lifting, in as little as 8 days. All depends on the site and technique. An open repair would have to wait 2-3 weeks - again based on site and technique. Good luck.
