A member asked:

Can having only a stiff neck mean you have meningitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Only one of many sx: There are more benign explanations for the stiff neck, such as tension headache, neck degenerative disc disease, etc. Meningitis symptoms are usually more severe, and associated with more complaints (fever, headache, severe neck pain). If the neck pain continues and you have other symptoms, seek medical care from your doctor.
