Depends on stage: The 5 year survival rates for cervical cancer depend on how advanced the disease is. Stage i (cancer only in cervix) is >90%, stage 2 (cancer spread just beyond cervix) is 60-80%, stage 3 (cancer spread to vagina or to pelvic wall) is 50%, stage 4 (cancer spread to bladder, rectum, elsewhere) is <30%. Regular pap smears result in early detection of cervical cancer and high chance for cure!
