I was reading about trichomonas on internet. it said that having this for a long time can increase chances of getting cervical cancer. is this true ?

No: Cervical cancer is caused by hpv which is also an std trich usually just causes a vaginal discharge , but if u have trich it needs to be treated and your partner needs to be treated no reason to have trich for a long time as it is easily treatable !
