A member asked:

What is a good way to deal when waiting to get tested for hiv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Be strong: What's the worst that could happen? Having HIV on board is a lifetime of taking medications that may not be altogether pleasant, and will be a social handicap. It's no longer certain death. Something happened that put you at risk, but I am confident that you will remember other aspects of this experience, hopefully as having been wonderful. Think of your strengths.
