What can be done for an extraction if antibiotics don't work for infection?

Not always: Antibiotics are only given before extractions if infection is present. Many times teeth can be extracted when infection is present, if the infection is localized. Antibiotics are given based on your surgeons discretion., as is proper antibiotic choice.
