Whole blood = 56 dys: You may donate a unit of (whole) blood every 56 days, or just about 8 times per year, unless you do 'double red' apheresis donation, in which case every 112 days. If you do apheresis (plasma / platelets), you can donate much more frequently (up to every 3 days), but will need to ask the experts at red cross (800-red-cross) for specifics on how these are counted.
