No definite answer: You ask a great question. There actually is no research to guide us on this question - only opinions. Mine is that every year or so makes sense, mostly to stay up-to-date on new developments in cancer screening, healthy lifestyle behaviors, and recommended vaccinations. All of these are updated on a continual basis. A good resource is an iphone app called my health checklist (2012 version coming).
