A member asked:

I'm an active, healthy 39 year old male who can't lose the last 10-15 pounds. is a registered dietician the way to go or do i look elsewhere?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If pregnant: It may not be the right time to try to lose extra 10-15lbs. If not pregnant and BMI is above 25, will suggest evaluation by a Bariatrician. The Bariatrician after evaluating you may refer you to a dietitian,or may use an apetite supressor or fat absorption blocker or Belviq (lorcaserin) to aid in reaching your goal as he deem appropriate
