HPV? slight relation: Our understanding of medicine continues to evolve. There's a very slight link with HPV. While almost all cervical cancers are felt to be related to prior HPV exposure, not all HPV exposures lead to cervical cancer. Esophageal cancer has other strong risk factors such as drinking, smoking and reflux. There is some link to HPV and esophageal cancer in other countries though not common in US.
