Seizures: A seizure occurs when the brain becomes overstimulated by "electrical" activity from within the brain itself, either in whole or in part. If the whole brain is involved, the person loses consciousness and the whole body is typically affected. If it is a partial seizure, the symptoms you see depend on the seizure's location though partial seizures can spread and involve the whole brain too.
