Is glutamate excitotoxicity a possible complication of coming off of a benzodiazepine too quickly? i know i shouldnt come off abruptly as it would lead to seizure but where exactly would excitotoxicity fit in? id greatly appreciate an answer please?

DON"T STOP ABRUPTLY: I think I answered this already. Interesting but need more info. Like how much benzodiazepine and which one? Best to taper off and then no problem Abrupt withdrawal from a sufficient dose can lead to seizures and possibly death so consult a doctor to do this safely and do not get drugs off the street. Prescription only.
