No set time: We are unable to say how long it takes for ulcer to perforate- most of the time if someone perforates- they did not know they had an ulcer. It is depends on the cause of the ulcer and how much exposure the lining of stomach is getting from it- like alcohol, nsaids, aspirin, steroids, etc. Also if the bacteria assoc w ulcers if present is treated and how thick the lining of your stomach is.
