Could you tell me what are some best ways to treat a boil?

Antibiotics or drain: Abscesses (a 'boil' is an abscess) are best treated by draining them (usually surgically) or with the use of antibiotics, or both. The selection of the method depends upon the location of the abscess and how easy it may be to drain it.

Boil: Cysts or boils may be treated with a combination of surgical drainage, topical and oral antibiotics, and sometimes injections with corticosteroids . See your dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment options.
