Many: Both over and under-active thyroid disease can cause increased risk during pregnancy, and thyroid output and requirements commonly change when you are pregnant. If possible, have your thyroid stabilized and normal before becoming pregnant, and have it checked frequently during the pregnancy. Discuss w/your doctors.
