No cure: Right now there is no cure for schizophrenia. I am not aware of any vitamins or supplements that have been helpful in controlling psychotic symptoms. From experience, I have had some patients try that route and have been unsuccessful. Perhaps one day researchers will find a cure. Until then, antipsychotic medications are the main method of treatment.

YES! (sometimes): Schizophrenia is a complex problem and there is no single treatment effective for everyone. However, many patients with schizophrenia have had remarkable responses to orthomolecular treatment. no data: Unfortunately, there is no current data that indicate vitamins and supplements can treat schizophrenia itself.

Not in my practice: You may find different opinions to the answer of this question. In my experience, as well as that of the vast majority of the psychiatric community, we have found no benefit to vitamins in the treatment of any of the common psychiatric disorders for the majority of people over time. There is a very high placebo response, so be wary of individual responses.
